Astudiaethau Theatr, Ffilm a Theledu

Rydych chi'n edrych ar y cwrs hwn ar gyfer Dechrau Medi 2025

Oherwydd bod gan yr Adran Astudiaethau Theatr, Ffilm a Theledu gystal enw rhyngwladol am ei hymchwil cwbl flaengar mae Prifysgol Aberystwyth yn lle delfrydol i astudio ymchwil (naill ar lefel MPhil neu PhD). Mae cymuned uwchraddedig fawr a bywiog yr Adran yn cael ei hystyried yn elfen allweddol o ragoriaeth ymchwil ac addysgu'r Adran.

Mae'r ystod o bynciau a methodolegau a gyflwynir yn eithriadol o eang, gan gwmpasu astudiaethau testunol, archifol, hanesyddol, seiliedig ar ymarfer, empirig ac athronyddol. Mae prosiectau ymchwil yn cynnwys gwaith yn Gymraeg a Saesneg, ac ar draws yr ystod lawn o theatr a drama, astudiaethau perfformio, senograffiaeth, cyfryngau a chyfathrebu, ac astudiaethau ffilm a theledu. 

Gofynion Mynediad Nodweddiadol

Gofynion Mynediad 2:1 Bachelors (Honours) degree in a relevant subject area, or equivalent.

Gofynion Iaith Saesneg IELTS 7.0 with minimum 6.0 in each component, or equivalent

Gofynion Eraill Applicants should submit a full research proposal at the point of application

Trosolwg o'r Cwrs

The Department offers opportunities for full-time or part-time MPhil or PhD study. Supervision and research training is offered in both English and Welsh, and supervisory expertise is available in topics such as aesthetics, politics and social engagement; site-specific performance; ecology and performance; Welsh and minority-language theatre, film, television and online media; contemporary British and Irish theatre; documentary and verbatim theatre; theatre and philosophy; performance historiography and archiving; national and trans-national processes of production and contexts of reception; film, press and broadcasting structures; histories and regulatory policies; alternative, avant-garde and experimental theatre and film; television drama, genres and aesthetics; scriptwriting; media fandom; reception and audience studies; documentary film and television; horror, fantasy and cult film and television; film stardom and performance; social media and multi-platform media; British cinema; Russian cinema and theatre.
